By Rachel Dewey
Custom edition, cloth hardcover binding/6”x9”/b&w/147 pages/2013/privately published
Although her book was published posthumously, author Rachel Dewey had a very direct hand in the process. She wanted her memoir titled simply “Stories,” because some of the tales were partly or wholly fictional. She chose the editor and the publisher, and among the last words she spoke before passing away on February 21, 2013, were “fifty copies,” the print-run order. It was her final wish that her family remember her by this small, sweetly written book.
